Our relationship with God grows deeper and deeper as we experience Him first-hand. This leads to us becoming a light, a beacon of hope. However, it is too common for us to do nothing with that revelation once we experience an encounter with God, a beautiful moment, or a tragedy in our lives.

All of us, with no covering on our faces, show the shining-greatness of the Lord as in a mirror. All the time we are being changed to look like Him, with more and more of His shining-greatness. This change is from the Lord Who is the Spirit. (2 Corinthians 3:18)

You were chosen by God. This makes you God's child. The glory of God is waiting for you, regardless of your past sins, guilt, or shame. But to receive it, you must do more than just attend church. In order to receive it, you need more than just raising your hand.

When you act on your experiences of God, they become meaningful. It's not enough to have a God encounter without follow-up and a mission. Follow-through is where God is found.

But you are a chosen group of people. You are the King’s religious leaders. You are a holy nation. You belong to God. He has done this for you so you can tell others how God has called you out of darkness into His great light. (1 Peter 2:9)
