Even when things don't make sense, trust God. What you're experiencing has a purpose. Maybe God is correcting your course. It is possible that he is using these trials to help you lean more on him, to strengthen your faith, and to trust in his timing. There is a possibility that you are going through this because your response may influence others' decisions to follow Christ. In the future, you may be able to help someone else overcome a similar situation after you go through all of this.


Even if he seems silent, God hasn't left. Behind the scenes, he is working. Our progress is not always visible, just like when a building goes behind a wall. We're still making progress, just not visible. God's plan is being carried out, and these circumstances have a purpose in preparing you to welcome those plans.

“And we know that in all things God works together for the good of those who love him who have been called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28).

A delay is not a rejection, but a preparation for what is to come. When we can't understand God's plans, it's difficult. However, that does not mean he isn't acting on our behalf.

Dear God, please cleanse my heart of self-pity and resentment. Despite my present circumstances, I know that you are carrying out your good plans for my life. I know you love me and have my best interests at heart. Help me to be patient, and in the meantime, help me to endure and keep my heart and mind focused on your promises. Amen.
