Day 106 Devotional

Today, let John 5:17 remind you of God's words to you.

But Jesus answered them, “My Father has been working until now [He has never ceased working], and I too am working.”

In spite of challenges and hard times that have tried to discourage you, God remains faithful to you. This is the Bible verse of the day to encourage and remind you of this.

Jesus reminds us in this verse that God has been working and adds that He is also working on our behalf in order to make our lives and example to others.

As you may go through one difficulty after another and you wonder why God seems to be silent, rest in the knowledge that Jesus is also working so that you can have peace and trust in Him.

Even if you do not perceive or feel God working right now in your situation, that does not mean he is not. Please take a moment to pause, and you will see that He is working on other aspects of your lives that are not readily apparent to you. In this way, you are reminded today by the Holy Spirit not to give up hope or feel hopeless, because your Heavenly Father who watches over you does not sleep nor slumber Psalm 121:4.

It doesn't matter how hopeless or nearly impossible the situation may seem, he is always at work because he is making all things work together for our good. Romans 8:28 says “And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.”
