Day 98 Encouragement

The plan God has for your life is better than anything you have imagined or thought up. Firstly, He wants to do you good, and secondly, He wants to be glorified.

We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified. (Rom. 8:28-30)

When God says that He is working for your good, it does not mean that everything that happens will feel good. Compared to us, he sees a bigger picture - our eternal future. You are being drawn closer to Him by His good work in your life. Our fallen world is filled with evil, but God is able to use even the worst situations for good. There is a purpose that God is constantly working to achieve: making you more like His Son, Jesus Christ. He doesn't always try to make you happy, but He's constantly moving toward completing that purpose.

Take the plans that you have and throw them away. Surrender your life to God's plans for you.
'I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.' (Jer. 29:11).
